The Muslim American Women’s Policy Forum (MAWPF) was born from a lack of safe spaces for Muslim women organizers in Washington, DC. MAWPF work is led by Muslim women organizers and is a space for centering women’s voices, work, and contributions to social justice, policy, and collective liberation.
MAWPF engages in intersectional organizing in Washington, DC against state violence and gender-based violence in order to influence local and national policies. Our long-term goal is to contribute to the larger history of Muslim women’s resistance in the United States and globally by building power, solidarity, and coalitions with women’s resistance struggles.
If you are interested in joining and building with us, please contact MAWPF.info@gmail.com and we will get back to you shortly.
